We are blessed at Saint Mark with six choirs that provide a diverse range of music at weekly Masses. As you consider your gifts of time and talent, please think about joining one of our choir families. You don’t have to be a great musician or singer to join a choir – we help you develop your talents at every rehearsal in a loving and encouraging environment. Singing the Mass as part of a choir family is a wonderful and profound experience – please come and see for yourself!
If you are unable to commit to the regular weekly schedule of a Mass Choir, we also are asked to sing at special Masses at Guadalupe Cathedral or at Concerts with other area Choirs. Let us know if you are able to share your time and talent at these exciting events!
ENGLISH CHOIRS:
Jubilate Deo Choir (2nd-8th grades)
The Jubilate Deo Children's Choir is made up of children 2nd - 8th grades. The program helps children develop a beautiful singing voice, good diction, as well as musical understanding. We strive to help each child find their singing voice while learning the music of our faith. At each rehearsal we bring your children into a loving and encouraging environment where we sing these inspired words with understanding and learn to live the words we sing. The choir sings at Mass once a month - either at Saturday 5 PM Mass or Sunday 10:30 Mass - accompanied by our adult English Choir and Chamber Ensemble. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday at 4 PM as well as 45 minutes before mass. Please consider bringing your Cherubs to learn to praise our Creator in beautiful song!
