What is Stewardship?
Stewardship is a way of life, a way that begins with acknowledging God as the creator and giver of all and responding with generosity and the responsible management of our gifts and resources. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we choose to be caretakers of all God has given to us. Gratitude for these gifts and blessings is expressed in prayer, worship, offering and sharing our gifts out of love for God and one another.
Stewardship is a path to holiness. It makes us more like Christ who came not to be served, but to serve. It is the humble awareness that all we have and all we are has been given to us freely from God. When we offer our lives back to God in love, He blesses that generosity a hundredfold.
Sharing Your Gifts
Our time is one of the most valuable gifts we have. We should use it wisely to honor and worship God and by serving our neighbors.
Each of us has a unique talent that should be nurtured, not just for ourselves but for the enrichment of the lives of others and so that we can serve God better.
We are stewards, not owners, of the treasures in our care. As good stewards, we are called to make a generous and proportionate return to God.
There’s an abundance of opportunities to practice a stewardship way of life. Don’t know where to start? Look no further!
Ways to Serve!
There’s no better way to serve our neighbors than by volunteering and helping them grow in their faith. Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, a thinker or a do-er, or you are not quite sure where you fit in, don’t worry. We have a place for you here at St. Mark.

“We’ve encountered Christ at St. Mark through the Sacraments and through the love of the people. Getting involved in the church’s ministries has blessed our family and we are forever grateful.“– Jorge & Veronica Juarez
Jorge and Veronica Juarez have been at St. Mark for many years now. Each of them give their time and talents generously to our parish. Jorge coordinates the English Altar Servers and Veronica coordinates the English Lectors. The Juarez family will be moving at the end of the month and we would love to thank them for all of the great work they have done in the name of God. St. Mark will always be their home!
